Who would have thought that Communication was important enough to receive a month of its own?
Not just any communication, but the “Effective” kind.
For those who spend their days working with others, for others, or on behalf of others, communication can make or break you. Inaccurate details and vague requests can result in a lot of frustration for all parties involved. That is why we celebrate when communication goes well… let there be cake!
Wait… the cake? It’s not here. (I must have forgotten to order it.) I can try to bake one, but I have no recipe… maybe if I mix some sugar and eggs together, something magical will happen? (This is why my friends keep me out of the kitchen.)
Without a recipe, plan, or proper communication – well, I guess we’ll have to get this party started without the cake.
This month we’ll be focusing on some unique challenges of using technology to communicate. These challenges can be interpersonal, intergenerational, or simply internal.
May we all grow more “effective” in the end.
